First round
• a free-choice piece written during the 18th century (original or transcription)
• a free-choice original work for harp, composed by an harpist composer between 1800 and 1950
• a free-choice original work for harp composed after 1950
(suggestions : Naji Hakim ”Jeu”, Philippe Hersant ”Bamyan”, Heinz Holliger ”Sequenzen über Johannes I, 32” by Heinz Holliger, …)
Final round – with chamber orchestra
Important notice
Important notice: depending on the number of the applications we will get by March 24th, we might have to make a pre-selection of the contestants. That’s why we are kindly asking all the contestants to send a unedited video recording of a solo piece of their choice along with their application. The length of the piece should be between 5 and 10 minutes and the recording not older than November 1, 2018. This piece should preferably not be a part of the chosen competition repertoire. The video link (YouTube, vimeo, mp4…) can be sent to info@pratteharpfestival.se. On March 25th, we will notify all the applicants whether there will be or not a pré-sélection.

Prizes
First Prize : 20 000 SEK/ 2000 EUR
Second Prize: 10 000 SEK/ 1000 EUR
Third Prize: 5000 SEK/ 500 EUR
Audience Prize: 3000 SEK/ 300 EUR
Prize for the best interpretation of the harpist-composer piece in the first round: 3000 SEK/ 300 EUR
And other awards to be revealed at the closing ceremony!
